About Warsaw

Poland has the largest population of the ten countries which joined the enlarged European Union family in 2005, with close on forty million inhabitants. The very heart of Central & Eastern Europe, Poland is perfectly located having borders with Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus , Lithuania and Russia.

Her capital Warsaw was nicknamed 'The Paris of the East' before the Second World War. She suffered surely more than any other European city during the period, with over eighty five percent of her buildings being razed to the ground. The beautiful Old Town was restored to its former glory in the years following the war using old paintings and photographs.

Warsaw has around two million inhabitants, a strikingly low five per cent of the country's population, considering she is the capital and financial hub of the country.

It is estimated that this population will double in the next ten years as more and more people come to live and work in Warsaw. The demand for quality living accommodation is expected to increase greatly making this a good opportunity to invest.
